    Building Equitable Workplaces: Inclusive Excellence Strategies for HR Professionals

    Building culture is an important part of an HR professional’s role through meeting compliance standards, but also by pushing beyond compliance promoting diversity in an equitable and inclusive workplace. This presentation will provide actions steps towards achieving an aware and inclusive culture where all individuals thrive.

    Margo Griffith has worked in Human Resources for over 25 years at multiple levels from technical positions through leadership roles. Currently, Margo is serving as the Executive Director of Equity and Compliance and the Diversity Officer at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Griffith’s work entails compliance with civil rights laws, but also creating an environment that goes beyond compliance enriching the intellectual work and social experiences for all at UAF through diversity, inclusivity, equity, and accessibility.
