HR Trust Busters: Increasing awareness of and mitigating the negative impacts of unconscious biases and microaggressions in the workforce
The September NASHRM training is scheduled for Thursday, September 16, 2021. Training will be delivered using Zoom, an online audio and web conferencing platform.
Our start time is 11:45 a.m. for sign-in, with the program running from 12:00-1:00 p.m. This presentation has been approved for SHRM and HRCI credits.
Actions taken due to unconscious bias and microaggressions can negatively impact the work environment and lead to legal peril for organizations. For leaders to be effective, they need to be viewed as trustworthy, aware, and open to discussions about their effects. Traci Gatewood will provide training that increases participants' understanding and awareness of how unconscious bias and microaggressions lead to toxic work environments, the risks associated with downplaying or minimizing their impacts, and what can and should be done to address them at work.
