Our new start time is 11:45 a.m. for sign-in, with the program running from 12PM-1PM. A full hour of educational instruction is required for SHRM-CP/SCP Credit. This presentation has been approved for both SHRM and HRCI Credits.

Chuck Brady will present Workers’ Compensation Reform-House Bill 79 “The Governor’s Bill.” During the session, House Bill 79 will be discussed in its entirety, section by section, along with a discussion of how each section changes the current Alaska State statute.

Attendees will 1) learn major changes that will occur as a result of this legislation, 2) primary information HR managers need to know about the Bill, and 3) what effect, if any, the changes will have on AK business.

Chuck Brady is responsible for managing Arctic Slope Regional Corporation's workers' compensation programs in the lower 48, Hawaii, and overseas operations.  He is a licensed Alaska WC adjuster with nine years' experience handling Alaska clammis, and has 37 years of overall experience administering workers' compensation programs for TPA's,carriers and self-insured and large deductible employers such as Hilton Hotels, Weyerhauser Company, and Rent-A-Center.  He iscurrently president of the Workers' Compensation Committee of Alaska, past president of the Texas Self-Insurance Association, and has served on the Boards of the Texas Self-Insurance Gauranty Association and Oklahoma Guaranty Association.

NASHRM will no longer be providing lunch, as such, there is no fee for NASHRM members to attend the training. Lunch can be obtained at the Café at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, or you may bring your lunch. Training will start promptly at noon. Please arrive early enough to get your lunch and be present in the training room for an on-time start.

Your NASHRM board will also be hosting a silent auction during the luncheon with proceeds benefitting the national SHRM chapter.  Thank you for your support in our fundraising efforts!
