December 18th NASHRM Event – Moving From Diversity to Inclusion

Many workplaces talk about “diversity,” but true inclusion is where the real transformation happens — especially when it comes to people with disabilities. Join us for an unforgettable session with Michael Hingson, blind since birth, 9/11 World Trade Center survivor, bestselling author of Thunder Dog, and one of the nation’s leading voices in accessible design and inclusion.

Through powerful storytelling, humor, and real-world examples, Michael will challenge us to rethink what inclusion really means and how simple shifts can open doors for everyone.

    Date: December 18, 2025
    Time: 11:45 am - 1:00 pm
    Location: Zoom
Registration: Open to NASHRM members – email bowenw@doyon.com to reserve your spot.

    You’ll walk away with:
    • Why disability does NOT equal inability
    • How inclusion strengthens workplaces, teams, and culture
    • What organizations gain when they hire individuals with disabilities
    • Myths vs. facts around cost, risk, and accommodations
    • Practical steps to build a truly inclusive environment

This session supports SHRM BASK competencies in Inclusion & Diversity, Relationship Management, Talent Acquisition, and Employee Engagement.
