    Misssy Lizotte will present The Alaska Job Center Network – What we do, how we do it and how best to access services. This presentation will provide an in-depth look at the resources available through the Alaska Dept of Labor & Workforce Development’s Job Centers for job seekers and employers, alike.  This presentation is intended to introduce the myriad of resources available through Alaska’s Job Centers and how to access them.  Topics will include targeted recruitments, test proctoring, applicant pre-screening, Fidelity Bonding, Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), apprenticeship program development, Rapid Response Services, Career Support & Training Services (CSTS) and job fairs.  Members will learn about new DOLWD mandates and what they mean to employers and job seekers

    Missy Lizotte is the Northern/Interior/Southeast Regional Manager for the Department of Labor & Workforce Development (DOLWD), Division of Employment & Training Services (DETS).  She earned an AAS in Human Services with a concentration in Workforce Development from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and holds a Global Career Development Facilitator credential from the Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE).  Missy is a 17+ year employee of DOLWD/DETS, having held nearly every position in the Fairbanks Job Center during her tenure.  She is passionate about assisting Alaskan job seekers to become self-sufficient wage earners while helping Alaskan employers grow their businesses. 

    NASHRM will no longer be providing lunch, as such, there is no fee for NASHRM members to attend the training. Lunch can be obtained at the Café at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, or you may bring your lunch. Training will start promptly at noon. Please arrive early enough to get your lunch and be present in the training room for an on-time start.
