    NOTE: From 11:50a.m. to noon, Lori Wilson, American Red Cross of Alaska Executive Director, will share how HR professionals can assist the Red Cross while gaining valuable human resource management experience.

    Dr. Alexandra Swenson-Ridley will present Stress Hormones and Health in the Workplace. A well-executed wellness program can reduce health care costs, augment productivity and increase employee retention. Dr. Swenson-Ridley will share how to create a wellness-minded workforce through education, leadership, employee incentives, a wellness plan, and wellness-oriented business culture.  Attendees will gain an understanding of how work-related stress can affect health and job performance of employees, how to minimize it and how to foster a culture of wellness within an organization.

     Dr. Swenson-Ridley, DC, DPsc is a wife, mom, entrepreneur and founder of Life Sprout Chiropractic & Family Wellness Center and four other related businesses focused on providing wellness education and exemplary service to their clients. In practice, she is a pediatric and perinatal focused chiropractor, as well as a functional medicine practitioner. She graduated from Life University in 2012, and has continued her training beyond chiropractic school through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Her focus in practice is not solely on chiropractic, but includes mentoring her clients in lifestyle and wellness education. This includes functional nutrition, detox, functional fitness, chiropractic and stress management techniques. Dr. Alex holds additional certifications as an Essential Oil coach, Doctor of Pastoral Medicine, and is working through additional training as a birth psychology educator in conjunction with pediatric and perinatal certification.

     

    NASHRM will no longer be providing lunch, as such, there is no fee for NASHRM members to attend the training. Lunch can be obtained at the Café at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, or you may bring your lunch. Training will start promptly at noon. Please arrive early enough to get your lunch and be present in the training room for an on-time start.
